New Parent Group
New Parent Groups
New Parent Group is a free program offered to all first time parents residing in the City of Melton.
The group is led by a facilitator who will encourage parents to share stories and discuss strategies and techniques to support families in the early transition to parenthood.
What the program offers
The free program runs over seven weeks and will cover topics such as:
- Sleep and settling
- Play and development
- Self-care and your health
- Safety and illness
- Introducing solids
All attendees will receive a free cook book and be invited to participate in an exclusive Baby Bounce session at their local library.
Benefits
New Parent Group provides parents with the opportunity to share their experiences, and gain confidence with parenting, as well as make new life-long friendships.
Parents who have attended New Parent Group sessions have reported enjoyment in meeting other new parents as well as sharing their parenting journey with others.
