Taylors Road and City Vista Court Traffic Lights

The intersection of Taylors Road and City Vista Court will be upgraded to transform the existing roundabout into a four-way intersection, with traffic lights. This project is being delivered by a developer.

This upgrade is a key component of the broader Taylors Road Corridor Upgrade Plan, which aims to accommodate the future growth of our city while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents.

Key features of the project include:

  • Expansion and realignment of the road to improve traffic flow and safety
  • Installation of new traffic lights to regulate traffic and enhance safety at the intersection
  • Pedestrian crossings to allow for safe and accessible pedestrian crossings as well as support active transport options
  • Installation of public lighting to increase visibility and enhance safety
  • Drainage improvements
  • New landscaping
  • Relocation of services such as electricity, water, gas, and communications will be placed underground for durability and safety

Project timeline

Construction on Taylors Road and City Vista Court traffic lights project commenced in late 2024 and is expected to be completed by late 2025.

January road closures

City Vista Court will be closed at Taylors Road from 2 January until 30 January 2025.

During this period, the intersection into and out of City Vista Court at Taylors Road will be fully closed to all traffic with a detour route on Gourlay Road via Hume Drive.

Local residents may continue to access City Vista Court from Hume Drive.

Taylors Road will remain open at all times and there are detour routes in place. We understand this will cause some delays and ask that you add extra time for your journeys throughout the closures.

Please see the detour map below.
