Zonta Club of Melton Inc

The Zonta Club of Melton is part of a worldwide network that works to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at a local, national & international level through service and advocacy.

At a local level we make breast cushions for Sunshine Hospital which are used by women who have had a breast removed due to cancer.

We support the CHIC (Choices, Hopes, Identity, Connections) Project which is conducted in local Secondary Colleges to build self-esteem and positive outcomes for girls in years 8 and 9. We offer scholarships to girls in Year 11 to enable them to stay at school and complete their education. Working with local Secondary Schools we assemble Birthing Kits for for Third World Countries which help to provide a clean environment for babies at birth.

Zonta Says NO to violence Against Women is an international campaign to raise awareness of and increase actions to end violence against women and girls around the world.
