Melton Cycling Club
MCC has a number of regular weekend rides.
Saturday training rides departing from Melton Waves car park
7am Longer rides
- 60 – 100 km on open roads
- 2 ½ - 3 ½ hours duration Undulating to hilly terrain
8am shorter ride
- 40 – 55 km on open roads
- 1 ¾ - 2 ½ hours duration
- Undulating to hilly terrain
Sunday coffee and chat rides departing from Hannah Watts car park
8am departure
- Longer ride 20+ km on open roads
- Shorter ride 15+ km on open roads and occasionally shared pathways
- Both rides 1-hour duration over flat terrain
- Coffee afterwards at Lazy Moe’s, Melton
Riders must:
- Be over the age of 18 years
- Bring a bicycle in road condition - road bikes preferable, especially for the longer rides
- Wear an Australian Standard bike helmet
- Bring a water bottle and snacks for longer rides
- Carry spare tyre tubes, bike pump/canisters, tyre levers (in case of punctures)
- Obey road rules and traffic signals at all times
- Ride safely and always be in control of the bicycle
- Keep to the left at all times
- Consider AusCycling or Bicycle Network membership for additional insurance coverage
