Melton City Libraries host a range of fun, free events throughout the year for all ages and interests. Whether you’re into reading, writing, crafting, or something else altogether, there’s something here for you!

Baby Bounce
Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythm of language through stories and songs. Baby Bounce is perfect for babies aged 0-12 months and their parents or carers. You’ll also earn Read, Sing, Chat points for attending!

Preschool Storytime
Introduce your children to the wonderful world of books and imagination. Sessions include stories, songs, rhymes, and an introduction to AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language). STEM Foundation
Are you a budding scientist or engineer who loves everything STEM?
Join us in Term 1 for the STEM Foundation Program — an exciting 8-week after-school journey packed with hands-on discovery, creativity, and fun! Explore a new theme each week, from coding and microcontrollers to fascinating experiments, engineering and design challenges.
The STEM Foundation Program is designed to ignite curiosity and lay the groundwork for a lifelong journey in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Led by the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Western BACE STEM Squad, this program creates a supportive and dynamic environment for young minds to thrive.
Sessions run every week during school terms. Bookings are required as places are limited. For ages 9 to 14 years.

STEM Masters
Calling all young scientists, engineers, and innovators! Are you ready to take your STEM skills to the next level?
Join us for the STEM Masters Program, an advanced 8-week journey designed for those who are ready to build their skills and dive deeper into focused STEM learning.
Led by the Western BACE STEM Squad, this program offers a supportive environment where you can problem-solve, experiment, and push your skills further.
Sessions run every week during school terms. Bookings are required as places are limited. For ages 11 to 14 years.
To enrol in the STEM Masters program, you must first complete the STEM Foundation (Beginners) program, or seek approval from the Western BACE STEM Squad.

Digitise Your Photo Albums
Do you have family photos and videotapes gathering dust at home? We can show you how to preserve these precious memories for the future.
Come and try out our specialised scanners to digitise your treasured items including photographs, papers, books, VHS tapes and DVDs. All our scanners are free to use, and our expert staff will be there to help you along the way.

Australian Citizenship Test Help
Are you interested in becoming an Australian Citizen? Come along and learn everything you need to know about the Citizenship Test. We will talk about what you can expect, and help you work through some common questions.
Group sessions are held throughout the year at Caroline Springs and Melton Libraries.

English Conversation Club

Online event safety and etiquette
We take eSafety seriously at Melton City Libraries. To help our events run smoothly and safely, we ask that you follow these guidelines when attending our online programs.
- Use your first name(s) as your screen name
- Use an appropriate background – either in a quiet space, or have fun using a virtual background!
- Mute your microphone unless you are asked to unmute by the presenters
- For children’s events, please ensure that an adult is always present with kids under 12.
Zoom links will be sent out by email before the event. (Remember to check your junk or spam folder). If you have not received your Zoom link 2 hours before the event, please contact the library.
We will open each Zoom meeting 5 minutes early to give you a chance to settle in before the program starts.
