Library Membership

There are so many things you can do with your Melton City Libraries membership!

Borrow:

• Loan up to 60 items at a time including books, DVDs, and magazines.
• Most items can be borrowed for 3 weeks.
• Express reads can be borrowed for 7 days and cannot be renewed or reserved.
    

Return:

• Melton City Libraries do not charge fines for overdue items! However, if you have two or more overdue items, you will not be able to continue borrowing until the overdue items are returned.
• You can return your items to any Melton City Libraries branch. Our return chutes are always open.
• You can also return your items to our Library Access Points, or to any participating Libraries Victoria service.
• Charges may apply for lost or damaged items.
    

Reserve

• You can use the online catalogue to place items on hold. You may have up to 20 holds at any time. We will contact you by email or SMS when your holds are ready to pick up.
    

Renew

• Items will be renewed automatically up to 2 times each unless they have been reserved by another library member.
