Sporting clubs, schools, other clubs and community groups, including Personal Trainers are able to hire a recreation reserve or sporting venue for all types of events.

Registered sporting clubs with Melton City Council are guided through an application process for seasonal bookings.

Group Fitness and Personal Training

Outdoor Fitness Permits is a new pilot program which removes the application process and fee for outdoor fitness trainers who use selected City of Melton Council reserves.  Businesses participating in the pilot can submit an online form and begin fitness training straight away, avoiding the processing time and fees of the permit system.  This new pilot is delivered by City of Melton under the Victorian Government's Automatic Approvals program.

How can I participate?

Read the information on this page and click 'Apply Now' when you are ready to proceed. You will be directed to Service Victoria to complete a short application form. Once this is submitted, you can begin using Council reserves straight away. There is no processing time and no fee.

To apply for Outdoor Fitness Permits, you'll need the following handy:

  • Proof that you are registered with AUSactive or Physical Activity Australia
  • Proof of your public liability insurance (Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance with a minimum of $20 million coverage per occurrence)
  • Proof of your professional indemnity insurance

Please note:  Under the Outdoor Fitness Permits pilot program, you can use specific areas in the following parks for outdoor fitness training (free of charge):
