Artist Biography:

Krystyna is a self-taught artist from Melbourne’s inner West. She likes to work with ceramics and illustrate but her favourite thing to do is paint. In her work she likes to create a dream-like atmosphere and to share a few visual jokes with the viewer.

About the work:

This mural focused on the idea of staying connected through social media, depicting how local young women from diverse backgrounds have formed an online community while staying at home during COVID 19 lockdowns and during the recovery period. Young people support each other online through chats, sharing photos, make-up, fashion, memes, making each other laugh and being there for one another.
