My work celebrates the sacred feminine energy, Shakti—one universal creative force that arises from pure existence and flows into all creation. This ancient energy transcends time, borders, and cultures, finding expression in diverse ways. For me, She came unexpectedly, reshaping my life as a young girl and guiding me into decades of sadhana, spiritual practice through the Trika lineage of Kashmir Shaivism.

As a woman in her 50s, having faced many challenges, including health and loss and many of those brought by the pandemic, I’ve found a renewed way to express my spiritual journey through art. This reemergence reflects a subtle yet vibrant connection to Shakti, inviting viewers to observe, contemplate, and connect with the divine feminine energy in their own way.

My two distinct styles reflect this journey:

1. Meditation Series: Drawn from daily meditations, these works bring to life the inner visions recorded in my sketchbooks—intimate glimpses of the sacred.

2. Modern Sacred Expressions: Dynamic and vibrant works inspired by sacred symbols and teachings, subtly presented to integrate seamlessly into contemporary life.

I use fluid acrylics with rich pigments, including unique Australian hues, weaving a cultural fusion of divine imagery set against Australian landscapes and colours. My journey is one of devotion—a lifelong love affair with India’s spirituality, merged with a modern Australian context, offering a unique and personal path that bridges worlds.
