Behind the Curtain

PAST EXHIBITION

An exhibition by Jeff McCann

November 24 2024 - February 3  2025

This exhibition showcases Jeff McCann's exploration of what he calls Cardboard Fabrication. A mix of art, design, fashion & craft.

Jeff says, "I have always loved textiles and fashion, but I am intimidated by fabrics. The idea of cutting the fabric wrong or making a mistake would always stop me from making art. Cardboard has been a huge part of my arts practice since my time at university. I love how freeing it is as a material. And when I decided that I would experiment with cardboard to make "fabric" and wearable pieces. This fear dripped away, and I was able to start playing and experimenting."

The pieces in this exhibition are a mix of prototypes and finished pieces that give you a look behind the curtain into his studio.
