Healthy Country, Healthy People
An exhibition by Keedan Rigney
Monday 10 February - Monday 12 May 2025
Healthy Country, Healthy People explores the concept of adopting a more traditional approach in caring for Country. Healthy Country, Healthy People aims to challenge humans to acknowledge ourselves as a harmonious aspect of Country, emphasising that a healthy Country supports healthy People, and in return healthier People caring for a healthier Country.
As Keedan himself states ‘Remaining on our current course and treating Country as a never-ending resource is only hurting us all in the long run’.
Keedan Rigney is a proud Ngarrindjeri/Wirangu visual artist based in Naarm on Wurundjeri Country. He is a contemporary and multidisciplinary First Nations artist whose work deeply engages with the connections between Country, family, and health.
