There's plenty of things to do during the school holidays this spring. Bookings are required for most events, so get in early!

Vacation Care - Primary school aged children

The Vacation Care Program is open to all primary school students and runs from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) every school holidays. The program runs from Monday 23 September to Friday 4 October 2024. 

Bookings for Vacation Care closed at 5pm on Friday 13 September. This fun filled program runs from Bridge Road Children's and Community Centre and is suitable for primary school aged children. There are a fun variety of excursions, incursions and activities.

Please note: Late bookings will be considered, however may incur a late fee.

 

Young Communities - Young people aged 12 - 25

Young Communities have a range of free and low cost fun for young people aged between 12 and 25. Activities include archery, board games, art and craft, and excursions to Bounce, Kingpin, the local cinema, and a musical theatre show!

Young Communities will also have a drop-in session for those that want to chill out at the youth centre.

Library activities

Get the whole family involved with all-ages LEGO building, chess, yoga, and a special sunset Storytime. Teens are invited to join a craft workshop or games night as part of our Youth Fest celebrations, or chill out at the library for headspace day! Our friends from Western BACE will also return with all your favourite STEM challenges and experiments, and some awesome prizes up for grabs.

Bookings are required unless otherwise specified. If your chosen program is fully booked, you will be able to add your name to the waitlist.

Community Centres

Community centres across the City of Melton are hosting a variety of school holiday workshops for pre-school and primary school aged children.

Activities include first aid for kids, kinder ballet and storytime, a comedy show for kids, a stargazing family event and a burger making workshop.

Bookings for school holiday activities are open!  Activities begin from Wednesday 25 September.
