Published on 23 August 2024
A revitalised Black Knight Way Reserve in the City of Melton was officially opened this week by City of Melton Mayor, Cr Kathy Majdlik and State Member for Melton Steve McGhie MP.
The $992,000 revitalisation project has transformed Black Knight Way Reserve into a high-quality recreation space for the ever-changing Kurunjang community.
Jointly funded by Melton City Council, developer contributions and the State Government through its Suburban Parks Program, the work will help boost physical activity and deliver improved social interaction and community connections.
The new play equipment at Black Knight Reserve has been specially designed to encourage exploration and discovery for children, and is complemented by shelter, barbeque facilities and furniture for families to enjoy.
New plants enhance the natural environment and exercise equipment, bike racks and water fountains make this a great place to spend time for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.
