Expressions of interest are now open to join a community panel to help shape the City of Melton’s future.

Every four years, Council updates its key plans and strategies, including our Community Vision, Council and Wellbeing Plan, Financial Plan and Asset Plan.

The community panel is a vital part of the process, providing input to help Council make better decisions on behalf of the community and help determine directions and key priorities.

Consisting of a diverse group of 45 community members, the panel will review the Community Vision to make sure it reflects the community’s aspirations.

It will also guide Council’s planning for 2025-2030, including:

  • services and community wellbeing initiatives
  • how we manage money, and
  • how we manage our community buildings and facilities.

The panel will meet four times throughout February and March, in-person and online.  Prior knowledge or experience is not required, and upon completion of the panel sessions, participants will receive $400 for their time and input.

Registrations close 9am Monday, 3 February 2025. For information, visit the City of Melton Conversations page.

“If you are passionate about your City and would like to learn about key issues, share ideas and provide recommendations, I encourage you to register your interest.”
