Expression of Interest: Advisory Committee Membership
Melton City Council is inviting passionate and community-minded individuals to express their interest in being members of any of the following Advisory Committees:
- Arts and Culture Advisory Committee
- Disability Advisory Committee
- Heritage Advisory Committee
- Melton Weir Development Committee
- Safe City Advisory Committee
- Youth Advisory Committee
Role of Committee Members
Committee members will perform functions and responsibilities as outlined in the relevant Terms of Reference below. These committees play a critical role in shaping Council strategies, policies, and initiatives by providing advice and recommendations that reflect the needs of the community.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome individuals who:
- Reside, work, study, or volunteer in the City of Melton and are at least 16 years old (with the exception of the Youth Advisory Committee, where members must be at least 12 years old)
- Demonstrate leadership and relationship-building skills or have a willingness to develop them
- Possess relevant knowledge and experience in the committee’s focus area
- Have strong community connections and the ability to engage a broad range of perspectives
- Are willing to contribute constructively in an advisory capacity to the Council
- Formally accept the Terms of Reference and Confidentiality Agreement
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander residents of the City of Melton are strongly encouraged to apply.
