Roundabout at Westwood Drive and Tenterfield Drive, Burnside Heights

We are upgrading the intersection of Westwood Drive and Tenterfield Drive, Burnside Heights, by constructing a new roundabout.

A new roundabout will improve traffic flow on Westwood Drive and improve safety of right turns in and out of Tenterfield Drive.

Construction of the roundabout commenced in December 2024 and is expected to be completed by February 2025.

Works will include:

  • new roundabout constructed at the intersection of Westwood Drive and Tenterfield Drive, Burnside
  • upgrade of pedestrian refuge islands on Westwood Drive and Tenterfield Drive

Project updates

Tenterfield Drive is open to traffic but will operate as a left in and left turn out only intersection until Friday 7 February when the final roundabout will be in place.

Frequently asked questions

What are traffic impacts during construction?

During the works, we plan to keep Westwood Drive open to traffic. Tenterfield Drive will be closed at the intersection during the school holiday period in January 2025 with detour plans in place. Some weekends and night works will be required when it is necessary.
