Bridge Road extension

New extension to Bridge Road in Cobblebank, between Ferris Road and Adelong Boulevard. 

The project includes: 

  • an 830-metre extension to Bridge Road between Ferris Road and Adelong Boulevard
  • signalised intersection at Ferris Road and Bridge Road
  • Active transport path along Bridge Road
  • Landscaping

The $10 million project will link the Atherstone and Robinsons Rise estates, provide access to the new St Francis Catholic School, and the future Melton Hospital which is expected to open in 2029.

The Victorian Government has contributed $620,000 to the project to support sewerage and conduit works required to service the Melton Hospital.

This webpage will be updated as works progress to keep residents informed. 

January 2025 update 

Final asphalting and line marking was completed between Monday 2 December and Thursday 5 December 2024. 

The project requires Powercor to supply power to the traffic signals and public lighting, this is expected to occur mid-February 2025.

After Powercor provides power, the Department of Transport and Planning will carry out its own testing and commissioning process before we can open the intersection.

Officers are working with the external providers to try and fast-track these timelines.
