Melton Recreation Reserve

A new pavilion has been built at Melton Recreation Reserve.  The building replaced the existing pavilion and services football, cricket and netball use at the reserve. It is located along the northern wing of the oval in a more centralised location with optimal viewing of the sportsground.

The new pavilion has been built in line with sporting and inclusive access guidelines and features a coaches’ box, shelter for players and a new timekeepers’ box. It also has more social space, a kitchen and other amenities, a meeting room and umpire changerooms. The changerooms have been built to female-friendly standards, which means more woman and girls will be able to play community sport.

The Victorian Government is contributing $3.3 million through the 2020-21 Community Sports Infrastructure Loans Scheme.
