The construction of the reserve provides a key meeting point for the community, accessible to all and be starting point to participate in healthy lifestyles. It also provides a suitable space for training and competition purposes for the local clubs.

The Eynesbury Recreation Reserve project saw the construction of:

  • a senior cricket/AFL oval with sports lighting
  • two caged cricket nets
  • four tennis courts with lighting
  • two netball courts with lighting
  • two Multi-purpose tennis/futsal courts
  • car park
  • adventure play space
  • dog park
  • a pavilion including a social room, kitchen, four change rooms, umpires’ room, first aid and storage
  • pathways and landscaping 

Eynesbury Dog Park officially opened

Eynesbury Dog Park was officially opened by City of Melton Mayor Cr Goran Kesic and member for Melton Steve McGhie on 10 December 2021.

The park was funded with a State Government contribution of $275,000 from DELWP’s Local Parks Program New Off-Leash Dog Parks Building Works Package, together with $61,000 from Council. 

The park is located at the Eynesbury Recreation Reserve, 3 Avoca Street, Eynesbury. 

 

Stage 1 construction

Stage 1A: reached practical completion 21 May 2020.
