Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve Oval 2 Redevelopment

We have redeveloping Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve Oval 2.

The upgrade work saw Oval 2 extended and realigned, and competition standard LED lighting installed. It also saw the construction of new shelters for players and perimeter fencing.

The project was funded by Council with support from the Victorian Government through the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund of $250,000.

To date, more than $4.3 million has been committed to redevelopment work at Burnside Recreation Reserve.

At the same time, Council and Burnside Springs United Cricket Club worked together on a separate project to install a five-lane turf wicket and curators’ shed while the Oval 2 upgrades took place.
