Bridge Road extension

New extension to Bridge Road in Cobblebank, between Ferris Road and Adelong Boulevard. 

The project included: 

  • an 830-metre extension to Bridge Road between Ferris Road and Adelong Boulevard
  • signalised intersection at Ferris Road and Bridge Road
  • Active transport path along Bridge Road
  • Landscaping

The $10 million project links the Atherstone and Robinsons Rise estates, provide access to the new St Francis Catholic School, and the future Melton Hospital which is expected to open in 2029.

On Thursday 6 March, the Department of Transport and Planning signed off on the Bridge Road and Ferris Road intersection and the traffic lights were switched on. 

The temporary footpath on Ferris Road, between Cobblebank Village Shopping Centre and Bridge Road will remain in place to assist students travelling from the train station.

We want to thank the community for their patience during the works.

The Victorian Government has contributed $620,000 to the project to support sewerage and conduit works required to service the Melton Hospital.
