Abey Road and Bridge Construction

This project will provide an east-west connection across the Toolern Creek connecting Abey and Brooklyn Rd, alternative access to the Western Freeway and increase access to Melton station.

Aintree Children’s and Community Hub

As part of the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, the City of Melton received $1 million towards the Aintree Children’s and Community Hub.

Arbour Boulevard Reserve

Arbour Boulevard Reserve upgrade provides opportunities for informal recreation, community connection and ensures residents in Burnside Heights have access to quality open space.

Arnolds Creek Community Centre Kindergarten Extension

As part of the Council's capital works program Melton City Council delivered an extension to the existing two-room kindergarten facility at Arnolds Creek Kindergarten, Harkness.

The Arnolds Creek Playspace will be a local level reserve and approximately 1 hectare in size. The reserve is located east of Arnolds Creek Primary School and Community Centre and north of the broader Arnolds Creek Recreation Reserve.

Bill Cahill Reserve

Bill Cahill Reserve is 2.2 hectare park that is currently being redeveloped.

Bloomsbury Drive Reserve

The Bloomsbury Drive Reserve Upgrade improved amenities and features of the reserve for residents of all ages.

Boundary Road Reconstruction - roadworks

As part of Council’s Unsealed Road Network Upgrade Strategy, works are being undertaken to upgrade and seal Boundary Road from Mount Cottrell Road to The Mall. The intersections at Faulkners Road and Downing Street shall be upgraded as part of these works.

Brookside Reserve Synthetic Oval Replacement

As part of the Council's capital works program, Melton City Council is pleased to be delivering synthetic surface replacement for the synthetic oval at Brookside Reserve.

Burnside Children’s and Community Centre

Stage 2 of this project saw the expansion of the existing centre to meet the growing demand for dedicated community space. The project delivered approximately 360 square metres of flexible space to facilitate the service delivery of seniors’ programs and other social support programs.

Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve Oval 2 Redevelopment

The multi-million project will involve the reconstruction of the oval and fencing.

Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve Senior Oval Reconstruction

As part of the 2021/2022 Council Budget, Council committed to the reconstruction of the senior oval at the Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve.

Caroline Springs Community Pavilion Extension

The extension to Caroline Springs Community Pavilion doubled the social space, provides additional amenities and refurbished existing spaces.

Caroline Springs Leisure Centre extension & Regional Tennis Facility

The Caroline Springs Leisure Centre Extension & Regional Tennis Facility will see Council delivering on a key infrastructure strategy in further developing the Caroline Springs Recreation Precinct by the extension of the existing Stadium and the construction of a Sub-Regional Tennis facility.

Caroline Springs RSL War Memorial

The Caroline Springs RSL is the major driver behind a new war memorial being constructed on the promenade at Lake Caroline.

City Vista Sports Precinct

The City Vista Sports Precinct in Fraser Rise will include two synthetic and two natural grass soccer pitches, a pavilion, commercial kitchen, car park, pathways and landscaping.

Cobblebank Stadium

The new Cobblebank Stadium will be a multi-purpose community facility to respond to the growing need for additional indoor courts within the Melton Township.

Creamery Road, Toolern Vale - Reconstruction Project

We're upgrading Creamery Road in Toolern Vale, from Burtons Road to Diggers Rest – Coimadai Road.

Diggers Rest Kindergarten Extension

As part of the Victorian Government’s Children’s Facilities Capital Program Major Grants, the City of Melton received $350,000 towards the Diggers Rest Kindergarten Extension.

Diggers Rest Oval Sports Lighting Project

The Diggers Rest Oval 1 Sports Lighting Upgrade project was recently completed.

This $220,000 project included a $100,000 contribution from the Victorian Government through the Country Football Netball Program.

Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve and Pavilion

We are excited to have delivered a new Community and Sporting Pavilion at the Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve.

Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve Master Plan

The project will provide a clear vision for the Reserve and will be used as a key planning and implementation document for both Council and community stakeholders.

Exford Road road reconstruction

Exford Road, between Eynesbury Road and the bridge at the
Werribee River, will undergo road reconstructions as
part of our Road Sealing program.

Eynesbury Recreation Reserve

The reserve has a pavilion, oval and hard courts to ensure that a variety of active sport pursuits including AFL, cricket, tennis and netball can be played in a safe community setting alongside passive recreational opportunities like an adventure playground, dog park, BBQ facilities and walking paths.

Eynesbury Station Early Learning Centre

Melton City Council is working with the Victorian Government to build the Eynesbury Early Learning Centre collocated the new Eynesbury Station Primary School.

Footpath works - Wilson road, Melton South

Works are being undertaken along Wilson road, Melton South to repair the footpath.

Fraser Rise Children’s and Community Centre

The Fraser Rise Children’s and Community Centre provides capacity for Kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health, Family Services,
a playground, community programs and activities.

Fraser Street Reserve Redevelopment

Exciting redevelopment works that builds on the existing natural features and existing connections of the reserve.

Hannah Watts Park

Melton City Council is developing a master plan for Hannah Watts Park which includes Melton Recreation Reserve and The Willows Historical Park.

Hillside Recreation Reserve Pavilion Refurbishment and Extension

The Hillside Recreation Reserve Pavilion Refurbishment and Extension project will deliver an expanded social community space, increased storage space, new Umpires facilities, additional amenities and a more functional kitchen/bar area to meet their ongoing operational and functional needs.

Kurunjang Tennis Court Upgrade

The Kurunjang Tennis Court upgrade project will provide construction of four tennis courts surfaced with artificial grass, along with line marking, stormwater drainage, a lighting system and boundary fencing.

Lake Street, Caroline Springs Road Rehabilitation

Lake Street, between Caroline Springs Boulevard and Garretty Road, will be reconstructed as a part of Council’s road renewal program. A raised zebra crossing will also be constructed to improve pedestrian safety.

MacPherson Park Recreation Reserve Future Directions Paper

MacPherson Park Recreation Reserve new grass oval

The enhancements include a new bifold door and surround to activate the outdoor dining experience and connect the café to the vibrant Town Centre.

Melton Waves

Melton Waves closed its pool hall, change room and toilet facilities from Monday 15 May so that improvement works could be completed at the centre. The work finished on 31 August.

Morton Homestead Play Space

Upgrades to the Morton Homestead Reserve are intended to encourage
a range of active and passive play, social gathering, connection and interaction, and recreation activities catering to a diverse demographic.

Mount Atkinson Children’s and Community Centre

Melton City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government through the Building Blocks grant program & Growing Suburbs Fund delivering the new Mount Atkinson Children’s and Community Centre. This facility will provide flexible community space for a range of programs and services for the growing community, a Maternal Child Health Service and four room Kindergarten.

Narebar Reserve - Little Blind Creek

A new playground will be built at Little Blind Creek Reserve.

Palmerston Street Raised Pedestrian Crossings

The existing pedestrian crossings at Palmerston Street between High Street and McKenzie Street will be raised to improve road safety conditions and pedestrian safety in the area.

Public Toilet Facility at Tenterfield Park

As part of Council's capital projects program, Melton City Council is pleased to be delivering a new public toilet facility at Tenterfield Park, Burnside Heights.

Roundabout - Bridge Road and Exford Road, Melton South

Bridge Road and Exford Road, Melton South was upgraded from a T Intersection to a roundabout as part of our Major Traffic Upgrade program.

Ryan’s Lane and Melton Highway Intersection

As part of Council's 2019 -2020 Capital Projects program, Melton City Council is pleased to be delivering intersection upgrades at Melton Highway and Ryan’s Lane.

Shared Path Renewal Works

Approximately 3.5km of existing asphalt path along Little Blind Creek and Toolern Creek will be upgraded as a part of Council’s Footpath Renewal program.

Stan Payne Reserve Upgrade

Stan Payne Reserve Upgrade will refurbish a portion of the reserve.

Stewart Crescent Reserve

The project involves upgrading and adding to the existing facilities at Stewart Crescent Reserve

Tarletons Road, Bonnie Brook

The upgrade works for this project includes the widening and sealing of the gravel road to deliver a safer road environment that enables two-way traffic and a safe area to pull over.

Taylors Hill Pavilion and Refurbishment Project

Melton City Council delivered a new sports pavilion and refurbishing existing rooms in the nearby community centre. The delivery of the project will see an increase in capacity at the recreation reserve and is a welcomed addition to the community.

Taylors Road and City Vista Court Roundabout

An interim roundabout, traffic islands and signage will be constructed at Taylors Road and City Vista Court in Fraser Rise.

Thornhill Park Children's and Community Centre

Previously known as Rockbank Murry Road Children’s and Community Centre, this project will deliver a children’s and community hub comprising four 33-place kindergarten rooms, multi-purpose community spaces, maternal child health suites, a family room, a breastfeeding space, and additional professional consulting and office suites.

Construction of Westwood Drive between Tenterfield Drive and Fydler Avenue.
