Winter school holiday fun

There's plenty of things to do during the school holidays this winter. Bookings are required for most events, so get in early!

Vacation Care - Primary school aged children
If you want to ensure your primary school aged child is kept active and entertained during the winter school break, join our Vacation Care program for two weeks of fun activities, incursions and excursions.

From crafts and sensory play to STEAM activities and excursions to Jumpside and bowling, there is something to cater for every child's interest.

The program will run from Monday 1 July to Friday 12 July 2024.

Bookings for Vacation Care opened at 8.30am Friday 31 May and closed 5pm Friday 21 June 2024. Bookings submitted after this date will only be accepted at Supervisor's discretion and incur a late enrolment fee.

Young Communities - Young people aged 12 - 25

Young Communities have a range of free and low cost fun for young people aged 12 to 25.

Try ice skating, archery, rock climbing or bowling. Create a delicious dish in the Cook it Eat it program, hang out at the youth centre, learn how to apply makeup or challenge yourself at Hijinx Hotel or in an escape room.

Young Communities have put together a bag of goodies for these school holidays. For $10, grab your winter show bag and receive a movie ticket, Melton Waves day pass, Xplosion bowling pass and a casual play pass. One show bag per young person and there is limited stock.

Our Community Centres have a range of different programs and events. Make a terrarium mason jar, take part in a family trivia night, join us for an interactive musical performance for kids, learn first aid, watch a comedy show or get up close with native wildlife.

 

Library

Our library staff are gearing up for another fun-filled school holidays this winter! Get crafty with painting, customised tote bags and more. Find your inner zen with Sahaja Yoga meditation, and learn something new with a first aid workshop! Western BACE will also be joining us with hands-on activities that will ignite your passion for STEM. Dive into thrilling experiments, build awe-inspiring projects, and explore the wonders of the universe in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're building robots, concocting chemical reactions, or coding your own games, there's something thrilling for everyone!

Recreation and Leisure Centres

Explore Cobblebank Stadium and Caroline Springs Leisure Centre these school holidays. 

Get Activated is back. Keep the kids active these school holidays with two hours of jam packed multi-sport fun! 

  • Wednesday, 10 July from 10am-12pm at Caroline Springs Leisure Centre 

Melbourne United will hold a 1 Day Junior Basketball Camp. Over the course of the day, children aged 6-12 years are invited to participate in basketball games and skill sessions and take home loads of goodies! This basketball camp is suitable for both boys and girls from beginner to intermediate skill level.

St Albans Caroline Springs Netball Association will be hosting a Netball clinic focusing on skill specific techniques and development.
